Being yourself at your job

The company's culture and values are not you. YOU and all those beautiful, intelligent, and unique people around you make up the company culture and act out the real values. It is the diversity of thought, backgrounds, and attitudes from those who make up the company that propel it forward. I have seen far too many people "become the company"... do not do that. Sure, hold the company values - but manifest it as only YOU would. Your uniqueness is far too important for your contentment and enabling success of those around you. Take pride in your own strengths and virtues.

Ask yourself when start each day:
"What would it be like to be more like myself today?"
"What is it that only I can do that will have positive impact?"
"How could that be important for the company in my role?"
"What is the first step...?"

And go do that.

Be yourself at the company - don't be the company.
